Understanding Indigenous Perspectives: An Essential Course for Newcomers to Manitoba

This workshop runs weekly from February 8, 2021 to March 22, 2021.

Course Description

This is a series of lecture/discussions to introduce newcomers to Indigenous Peoples’:

  • History
  • Significance and place in Canada
  • Relationship with the Canadian Government
  • Culture and Traditions

The series will feature a topic each week to be discussed by subject matter experts and guest speakers. It will be held for seven succeeding Mondays from February 8 to March 22 at 2-3 p.m. on Skype. The topics are listed below.
