Settlement & Language Training
Whether English or French, these organizations will help you learn the official languages of Canada. Some of them will even provide information that will help you settle and integrate in Manitoba quickly. Most of these organizations offer training for free, some at a minimal cost. Some organizations even provide child-care and other supports for parents with young children. A good way to start is to have your language benchmark assessed by WELARC (some organizations require a referral from the organization as well) to know your Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB). This will help language instructors provide the appropriate language materials that will best suit you.
