Truth and Reconciliation Day – English Online is closed

September 30

All dates and time are Winnipeg local time.

Truth and Reconciliation Day is the newest federal statutory holiday. “This day provides an opportunity for each public servant to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools” (Canada.ca).

This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC) Calls to Action to address the ongoing impact of residential schools on survivors and their families. These Calls to Action forge a path where the government and Indigenous communities can walk together towards reconciliation.
