You probably have a better understanding of  digital world  by this week. Now, imagine your presence in it. Try to answer the following questions to help you better understand what digital presence is and how it is created.

      1. What do you think a digital footprint is? Watch this video about it from Common Sense Media.
      2. What actions can leave digital footprints?
      3. How can digital footprints impact your online reputation?

Think about social media accounts that you have.

      1. What do you usually post, share or comment about on social media?
      2. Do you use social media for professional purposes? If you do, then how?

Digital footprint is the word to describe a set of digital activities, actions or communications that people leave online. This is information transmitted online, such as forum registration, emails and attachments, uploading videos or images and any other form of transmission of information, all of which leaves traces of personal information about yourself available to others online.
I use LinkedIn for professional purposes. It is a great tools for job research and for connect with people that work in your same area. Also is good to stay up to date with the latest news.

Hi, everyone. I thank to Monika what describe me what is a digital footprint because I have never heard this term before. Every day we use our digital device and leave many digital footprints: for searching information, connecting with people, learning English, writing programs and etcetera. If one day we walk up and we recognize what we don’t have the internet connection, we suddenly can’t do anything. I have an account on facebook many years, but I almost have not used it before we have planned to come to Canada. Now I take a part in many groups about Winnipeg and immigration to Winnipeg and I ask questions and help to other people what want to come there with their questions about Winnipeg. I use my account only for personal information’ share my family pictures only with friends, I try to be friendly with people what I chat with, I don’t connect with unpleasant people ( or people what I think they are unpleasant ). I think what the best place for a professional purpose is Linkedin and not Facebook. My husband found the job when he starts to use Linkedin.

And that’s why is one of the most important bussiness of the last 20 years, to give you and example, if by “accident” you are looking a wristwacht in AMAZON and then you go to youtube to whatch a video what do you think is the first advertise that you going to see?
how we said in my home country… DFP is necessary evil… depend on how you spend your time using the phone app, web sites and social networks will be very positive your footprintall.
