      This week’s idioms include:

      1. To rain cats and dogs
      2. To save (something) for a rainy day
      3. (Come) rain or shine
      4. To rain on somebody’s parade
      5. When it rains, it pours

      As you can see, in all the idioms rain is used with negative connotation. Is  the word rain used in expressions with a negative meaning in your first language? Share your examples.
