English Exercises

Welcome to the self-access English Exercises.  These were created especially for Manitoba. These activities and lessons are open, but sign in so you can access upcoming workshops, the discussion forums and get specific support for your language questions.

Literacy: If you are a beginner, these courses are for you. There are topics to explore: Grocery shopping, Paying a phone bill, Buying a new bed, Healthy routines.

Beginner: The beginner exercises focus on basic English skills (CLB 1 – 4). You will practice workplace language using all four language skills.

Intermediate: Intermediate exercises focus on intermediate English skills (CLB 5-8). You will practice all four language skills in a workplace context.

Explorer: These exercises are organized by ‘Acts’ in your settlement journey.  Each Act has between 10 – 12 language activities, and gets more difficult as you progress.  Good luck! (These are our Executive Director’s favourite.)
