Week 6_Indigenous culture

Independent studyWeekly Online Rendezvous
August 5 – 11, 2019August 7, 2019 at 7 PM CDT
August 9, 2019 at 10 AM CDT

Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the First Nations communities in Manitoba this week and throughout the summer. The opportunities are endless: museums, festivals, pow wows, the list goes on. I’m sure many of you read inspiring stories of the peoples of North America. Now that you live on the Canadian land, you’ll be able to see them and meet them at the next cultural event!

As part of your language goals this week, you will:

  • learn about  Indigenous peoples’ history in Manitoba, cultural practices and spiritual beliefs
  • practice listening strategies
