It’s already Week 8 of the Summer Course! Chilly mornings and colder nights are soon to come, and – we know you don’t want us to say that – it’s time to get ready for the fall…
We are talking about our health this week. Among all of the things newcomers have to accomplish when they move to Canada, taking care of their health is far less than a priority. Newcomers are so busy in their new lives that it’s hard to find time to improve their health by making healthy meals, exercising regularly and managing stress levels. But, year after year, neglecting your health needs may result into serious health concerns. There is a worrisome trend that shows immigrants’ health deteriorates after several years in Canada. Are you finding yourself falling off track with maintaining healthy lifestyle? Or do you need more suggestions on how to fit healthy choices into your busy schedule?
We think that summer in Manitoba is a perfect gateway to healthy eating! Vegetable gardens, local farmer’s markets, and grocery stores offer an abundance of fresh produce. You can build healthy habits to last year around in your family!
This week, you will:
- learn about ways to develop and maintain healthy eating habits
- use persuasive language to influence someone to eat healthy foods
