Realtor: | Hi Syd, how are you? Just wanted to give you an update about the offer you put on the house. |
Syd: | Doing well. Yes, so what is the update? |
Realtor: | The buyer is willing to meet you halfway. So, he is going to counter the offer you put for $425, 000 and settle at $459,000 |
Syd: | Really? |
Realtor: | Yeah. This is a perfect opportunity to bide your time. He has had the house listed for over 5 months. |
Syd: | Yeah, I am not prepared to sign on the dotted line just yet. Any idea on how we could turn up the heat? I am worried that my place is going to sell and the wife and I aren’t going to have a place to stay. |
Realtor: | Well, I could tell him we are willing to take immediate possession if he settles for our asking price. How about I keep you posted on what his realtor says? |
Syd: | For sure. Let me know. I am eager to close this deal, but I am prepared to drive a hard bargain. |
