Blaine | Hi, Yuliana! Welcome back! How was your weekend? |
---|---|
Yuliana | Oh hi, Blaine! Actually, this weekend I had to light a fire under my husband to take us out on a camping trip to West Hawk Lake. It’s about one and a half hour drive from Winnipeg and nature’s stunning there. |
Blaine | Sounds great! How was the weather? |
Yuliana | It was quite hot and my kids mostly stayed in the water. They were exhausted by the end of the day, so luckily, they slept like logs through the night! The night wasn’t without adventure, though. |
Blaine | Oh, tell me – what happened? |
Yuliana | Well, in the middle of the night, my husband woke me up because he had to answer nature’s call. Then, I couldn’t fall back asleep. So, we started a campfire and all would’ve been romantic if not for our neighbours. |
Blaine | So they spoiled your night under the stars? |
Yuliana | Sort of… They came over to join us, we didn’t mind as they seemed like a nice couple at first, but then the guy flew off the handle for no reason. So, my husband told him to go jump in a lake. |
Blaine | That’s brutal! |
Yuliana | Yeah, you could hear crickets the next morning, the neighbours were so silent! |
