Tanya | Any news about getting a bonus this year? |
Sofia | Not yet! I am waiting for the good news too. |
Tanya | Do you remember that Chris announced the possibility with lots of enthusiasm at the last annual meeting? |
Sofia | I was thinking that he will take immediate action as he is the big cheese in our department. It turns out that the announcement was all sizzle and no steak. |
Tanya | Why don’t we ask Diana, his secretary? |
Sofia | It’s difficult to explain anything to her. I am sorry to say this but she is dumb as a rock. |
Tanya | Then why don’t we arrange a meeting with Ted, our senior manager. |
Sofia | He is an armchair critic, and at times I find his advice pretty useless. |
Tanya | Then we have to just wait and watch. |
Sofia | Meanwhile, Sam and I are planning a week in Banff. Why don’t you and Joseph come along? |
Tanya | Joseph likes to spend his holidays at home. |
Sofia | I thought Joseph would love to see the beautiful scenery. He comes across as a very romantic guy. |
Tanya | He is not romantic at all. He is as cold as ice! |
Sofia | Don’t worry. I know you will change him. |
Tanya | Waiting for that day Sofia! |
