Step 2

Read the dialogue to understand the correct usage of the idioms.

Jana Any plans for the weekend?
Colette I am thinking of going to Gimli to study for my exams.
Jana What? Have you gone mad? Who drives an hour and a half to a recreational  resort and studies there?
Colette Don’t you think it will be peaceful and quiet?  No distractions at all.
Jana I don’t know what you are talking about. Your mind wanders when you are hungry. Let’s go out and have lunch. It’s almost noon now.
Colette Let me check if I have enough money as my payday is tomorrow. I have six dollars in my wallet and a toonie in my pocket.
Jana I have a loonie too.
Colette Let’s check out the corner store. They sell cheap veggie sandwiches and dainties.
Jana I’m not in a mood for a sandwich. Let’s go to Timmies, eh?  I will have a double-double.
Colette Sure.

Step 3
