3. Write about an event in the past

Have you read about great events in Canadian history? And, have you brushed up your skills on describing an event in the past? If so, you are now ready to practice your writing. We will give you feedback on your writing.

What and how much should you write?

CLB 4 – 5 write 1 paragraph to describe how you celebrated Canada day. If you haven’t yet celebrated Canada day, you can write about how you celebrated your home country’s national day.

CLB 6 – write 1-2 connected paragraphs to describe a significant event in Canadian history.

CLB 7 – write 2-3 connected paragraphs to describe a significant event in Canadian history.

CLB 8+ – write 3-4 connected paragraphs to describe a significant event in Canadian history.
