To be covered under Manitoba Health, you must be a resident of Manitoba.

To maintain your coverage you must reside physically in Manitoba for at least 3 months each calendar year.

Tourists are covered for there first 3 months in Manitoba.

If someone who is covered by Manitoba Health (permanent resident) leaves the province permanently to move to another province, that person is covered by Manitoba health until the end of the month in which they arrive in their new province, plus an additional 2 months.

If you lose your Manitoba Health card , you can use a friend's card, but a signed letter of permission is usually required.

You should report any changes to your family status, such as marriage, birth or adoption as these can affect your registration.

Chiropractic services are not covered by Manitoba Health.

Ambulance services from your home to a health facility are not covered by Manitoba Health.

Hospital services such a TV and private room are not covered by Manitoba Health.

You are not covered by Manitoba Health if you need emergency medical services while outside of Canada.
