About the Parkland Region:
The Parkland region is located in the western part of the province. It is described as “a natural paradise of scenic woodlands, picturesque lakes, rushing rivers and dramatic escarpments” (Travel Manitoba). This is where you will find Riding Mountain National Park and Duck Mountain Provincial Park. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the many dense leafy forests, fish in clear lakes and camp in the upland meadows. Meanwhile, Asessippi Provincial Park is a winter wonderland for skiing, snowboarding and tubing.
Among the communities in the region include Roblin, Dauphin, Binscarth, Grandview, Rossburn, Minitonas, Bowsman, Gilbert Plains, and Winnipegosis.
